Earth Day Marches for a Better Tomorrow!
Happy Earth Day!
Today, April 22nd, is when we bring awareness to environmental concerns. We shouldn’t want to destroy the Earth before it’s inevitable destruction from the Sun. We still need it and New Earth 1-5 are too far away.
A day when we as humans should look to each other and say “Hey, let’s all try to do little better.” A day where we must march because the now President of the United States believes that Global Warming is a hoax and that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is a waste of money.
Earth Day began in the 1970 because Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin wanted to shed light on pollution after an oil spill in Santa Monica in 1969. 20 million people marched on this day in 1970 and it has only gotten bigger as the years go by.
Today, in over 400 cities, people are taking to the street to fight against an administration that seems to care nothing about scientific facts, the Earth, or it’s inhabitants.
Which they are also a part of. So….
Neil deGrasse Tyson’s tweet sums up my opinion on why today – with the marches, especially- is very important for everyone.
Show me a Nation with a science-hostile government, and I'll show you a society with failing health, wealth, & security.

So raise your signs high, march in the streets of your city, and lift your voice for science! Because when science fails, we fail too.
